Computer in the living room was left on the whole night, so my cousin asked me to fix it. Checked and the computer would not POST after booting.
Computer does not boot to POST, blank screen after pressing the ON button.
Assuming that all the connections are correct on your computer (such as the VGA montitor is plugged into the VGA), this is something that you would usually take up with your computer manufacturer, not Microsoft nor Apple or all the people that helped develop the software on your computer. Worst thing that could happen is that you would need a new part on your computer for the repair.
There are SO many solutions for this because there are SO many reasons why this is happening. Too many. What I did though was get the box, removed the little circle battery from the motherboard, waited, removed the stick of memory that I added a long time to the computer (since there was 2 before I added 1), then waited some more. While I waited, I looked for the reset bios settings on the motherboard (sometimes there are a couple needles that say RESET where you would put a little plug.) I couldn't find those, so I put the battery back, and retested the cpu... works OK.
I reboot the CPU and BIOS info has been reset. -christen25
